Reykjavik/Iceland

This is Reykjavik, Iceland! In October my father had a conference, and me and mom followed him there to spend a week! We had a blast!

Burasi Reykjavik, Izlanda! Ekim ayinda babamin orada bir konferansi vardi. Annem ve ben de onu takip ettik ve bir hafta tatil yaptik. Cok eglendik!

I climbed all the way to the top of this church tower!

Bu kilise kulesinin en tepesine ciktim! 

Reykjavik is a nice town but the playgrounds were far from impressive!

Reykjavik harika bir sehir ama oyun parklari sinavi gecemedi!

Disappointed with the playgrounds, we did some amazing stuff! A great tradition there is going to these hot water pools during the day while it's freezing outside. We even made some friends!

Oyun parklarini begenmeyince biz de baska maceralara atildik. Burada en sevdigim adetlerden biri bu sicak su havuzlari! Disarda hava buz gibi ama havuzlar sicacik! Neredeyse hergun yuzduk ve arkadas bile edindik!

Another day, we went whale watching but had no luck! Only dolphins but they were incredible!

Baska bir gun balinalari gormeyi denedik ama maalesef sadece yunuslari gorebildik.

After watchign the dolphins with my new friend, I kind of had enough!

Asagidan bu arkadasla beraber yunuslari seyrettikten sonra ben beklemekten yoruldum!

Then we discovered an amazing park in the middle of town. It had a nice playground, huge outdoor pool, and a wonderful restaurant in a green house which my parents kept calling "paradise". But the "petting zoo" was pathetic, poor animals! Details below (attention: horse info on the sign)

Sonra harika bir park kesfettik sehrin gobeginde. En guzeli icindeki nefis oyun parki, kocaman bir acik havuz ve de annemlerin "cennet cennet" dedikleri nefis bir seranin icindeki restaurant idi. Bir de cok zavalli bir hayvanat bahcesi vardi. Bilgiler asagida.

My favorite food was MOMOs at this Tibetan place! Here's my friend who makes the best momos in the entire world!

En sevdigim yemek bu kucucuk Tibet lokantasindaki MOMOlardi! Iste dunyanin en guzel momolarini yapan arkadasim ve ben!

The puffin hat that we got as soon as we arrived ended up being part of my Halloween costume upon our return to the States!

 Reykjavik'e gider gitmez aldigimiz bu puffin sapkasi da ABD'ye donunce Halloween kostumum oldu!

P.S: Alas, we left the camera behind and didn't get to capture any photos at the Blue Lagoon or our midnight trip to see the northern lights. But we did go!
